My new yoga gig!

by laura on December 8, 2008

I’ve officially been hired by Omega Martial Arts to help expand the Yoga program. I’m really excited to get things going, and my head is swimming with ideas. There are so many things to think about; class structuring, scheduling, pricing, advertising. Especially advertising. I have to reign in my ideas sometimes before I get overly enthusiastic. I want to do a weekly email newsletter, facebook page, newspaper ads, fliers, online ads, and more…

Omega is a really nice facility. For one thing, it is HUGE. You could fit a hundred yogis in there. The floor is padded, so it feels great on your knees but makes the balancing poses more challenging. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing! It is light and bright with a great sound system and a huge heater so the room isn’t too cold. There is a play room with toys, books, and videos for kids. It’s a perfect space and I’m thrilled to teach there.

I’ll have more information soon about scheduling and pricing. Right now there is a MWF class at 9:15 AM. Come and try it out! We’ll be adding new classes at different times, and it will be very affordable.

Congrats Laura! That is such a great opportunity. Good luck on advertising and getting classes going. Advertising a business is tricky. I still haven’t figured it out! Let me know if something works well for you.

Yeah, advertising is so un-Zen!
